“Pilates - the gentle way to a stronger and beautiful body”
One of Joseph Pilates most famous quotes is:
“In 10 sessions you'll feel the difference, in 20 sessions you'll see a difference, and in 30 sessions you'll have a whole new body”
--- and I can’t tell you enough how true this is.
It was sheer luck that introduced me to Pilates. I had won a gift certificate to a Pilates lesson. Being a Yoga teacher myself, i considered gifting away the certificate, but on a whim decided to attend the class. I actually enjoyed the class – though it had some elements of Yoga in it (Body awareness, breath-work etc), it was the emphasis on muscle toning that caught my attention.
I began incorporating some Pilates exercises in my daily Yoga routine, and was amazed at the results. I not only improved my overall strength, but the muscle toning helped me become a stronger runner and hiker.
This newfound love for Pilates lead to me completing my first 9 month long Pilates teacher training and I have never looked back...

Pilates is a holistic body workout that primarily addresses the deep-seated, small and usually weaker muscle groups and thus promotes strength, flexibility and the structural balance of the body.
In meinen "Awareness-Pilates"-Classes ...
- ... I encourage you to perceive your body in full.
- ... I encourage you to recognize and respect your physical boundaries.
- A precise starting position, conscious movement sequences and specific breathing, are the most important components.
- I use very precise Body reference points to achieve this.
